Hybrid Strains are versatile –
Well, hybrid strains are exactly what they sound like – a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Each year, breeders create new strains with carefully controlled mix of strains to achieve specific effects when used. As a base, we have established that Sativa has higher THC – CBD content as compared to Indica – which has a lower THC content and also induces sleep.
By mixing different quantities of different Indica and Sativa strains, one can feel different effects after consumption and this is what breeders are trying to control. Hybrid strains also have more potent results as compared to “pure” strains because they have the characteristics of more than one strain.
Some hybrids can be classified indica-dom and others sativa-dom depending on which strain is dominant in the hybrid strain. For example, a hybrid strain “gooseberry” could have 80% indica strain and 20% sativa strain and thus be labelled as an Indica-dom hybrid strain.
Some popular hybrid strains loved by people all over the world are – Pineapple Express, Trainwreck and Blue Dream.
